JW Aluminum was awarded the 2018 Innovation and Productivity Excellence Award for Industry from the Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce.
The award honors a member manufacturer that has introduced a new concept to their operations or made changes to better serve their customers through innovative products or technology.
In March of this year, we broke ground on a quarter of a billion dollar expansion project at our Goose Creek, South Carolina facility. Construction is underway and includes a new two hundred and twenty thousand square foot building plus the installation of state of the art melting, casting and rolling equipment that will make our Goose Creek facility the newest, most competitive and energy efficient aluminum sheet rolling plant. The expansion will also create 50 new jobs in addition to the 370 teammates we currently employ.

The investment includes projects to enhance existing rolling mills, annealing equipment and slitters to improve quality, reliability and throughput for the fin stock, honeycomb foil and flexible packaging markets.
The upgrades will also further automate control systems in the company's foil producing facilities - Russellville, Arkansas; Saint Louis, Missouri and Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
