National Hydration Day

National Hydration Day

National Hydration Day is an annual holiday celebrated on June 23rd. It was created in 2016 to honor the memory of football coach Victor Hawkins, who invented a mouth guard that releases electrolytes to improve hydration. Your body is made up of about 60% water, and it's essential for your overall health and well-being. Water helps to regulate body temperature, lubricate joints, and deliver nutrients to your cells. It also helps to flush out toxins and waste products from your body.

Working with molten aluminum in Arkansas and South Carolina, our teammates are well aware of the importance of hydration, and hydrating consistently. As an aluminum manufacturer and aluminum supplier, we provide our teammates with custom water bottles and encourage them to keep them with them all the time. We also provide electrolyte beverages for further hydration support. During the summer months, we also provide fresh fruits with high water content.

National Hydration Day is a reminder of the importance of staying hydrated, and it provides an opportunity to educate people about the benefits of drinking plenty of fluids.

There are many ways to celebrate National Hydration Day. You can:

  • Drink plenty of water throughout the day.
  • Eat water-rich foods, such as fruits, vegetables, and soups.
  • Avoid sugary drinks, as they can actually dehydrate you.
