To support the company's growth, JW Aluminum has signed a lease with Daniel Island Sun, LLC to add additional corporate office space at The Landing, 115 Fairchild Street on Daniel Island, South Carolina. The additional 22,000 square feet of Class A office space will house up to 50 teammates to perform key corporate functions as the $250 million expansion progresses at JW Aluminum's existing Goose Creek, South Carolina manufacturing facility. JW Aluminum was awarded the 2018 Innovation and Productivity Excellence Award for Industry from the Berkeley County Chamber of Commerce.
The award honors a member manufacturer that has introduced a new concept to their operations or made changes to better serve their customers through innovative products or technology.
In March of this year, we broke ground on a quarter of a billion dollar expansion project at our Goose Creek, South Carolina facility. Construction is underway and includes a new two hundred and twenty thousand square foot building plus the installation of state of the art melting, casting and rolling equipment that will make our Goose Creek facility the newest, most competitive and energy efficient aluminum sheet rolling plant. The expansion will also create 50 new jobs in addition to the 370 teammates we currently employ.

Effective November 19, 2018, Philip J. Cavatoni assumes the role of Chief Financial Officer at JW Aluminum. Cavatoni comes to JW Aluminum from SixAxis LLC, a manufacturer of advanced safety products and equipment, where he has served as Chief Financial Officer since 2016. Cavatoni succeeds Rich Caruso, who has served as JW Aluminum’s Chief Financial Officer since 2017. Caruso will be joining of JW Aluminum’s Board of Directors. Click here for full press release.
