JW Aluminum Announces Price Increase

(Mt. Holly, SC) October 1, 2009 — JW Aluminum announced today the following price increase: Effective immediately for all new orders and contracts executed on or after October 2nd, 2009 with scheduled shipment dates on or after January 1, 2010, the conversion fee on alloys series 1XXX, 3XXX, 5XXX, 7XXX, and 8XXX will be increased by $0.02 cents per pound.
In addition to the conversion price increase, JW Aluminum will be moving to 30-day terms with all new orders entered on or after October 2, 2009 with scheduled shipment dates on or after January 1, 2010. The necessity to alter terms is in response to raw material providers reducing their overall exposure in our market.
All existing orders and firm agreements confirmed before October 2, 2009 will be honored.
JW Aluminum manufactures specialty flat-rolled aluminum products including “fin stock” used by the heating and cooling industry, light gauge converter foil for the flexible packaging industry, honeycomb foil for the aerospace industry, bare and painted sheet products for window coverings and the building and construction markets, and other foil and sheet products. JWA operates plants in Mt. Holly, South Carolina; St. Louis, Missouri; Russellville, Arkansas; Jackson, Tennessee and Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
