06-18-2007
Mt. Holly, S.C., June 18, 2007: JW Aluminum Company announced today it has completed its acquisition of Coastal Aluminum Rolling Mills, Inc. The deal includes Coastal’s Aluminum Rolling Mills division (CARM) and their Chromagraphic Processing Company division (CPC), co-located in Williamsport, Pa. “Over the past few weeks we have worked extensively with Coastal’s management to complete the acquisition in a very short time period, and I am extremely pleased to be able to welcome the Williamsport team to JW Aluminum,” said Don Kassing, President and CEO of JW Aluminum.
The acquisition brings many new products and new capabilities to JW Aluminum, such as certain high strength aluminum alloys used in the aerospace, automotive, packaging, and building products industries. In addition, Coastal’s solvent based coating capabilities complement JWA’s own coating technology to make the company one of the premier suppliers of coated and painted aluminum products in the industry.
JW Aluminum manufactures specialty flat-rolled aluminum products including “fin stock” used by the heating and cooling industry, light gauge converter foil for the aerospace and flexible packaging industries, and heavier gauge bare and painted sheet for the building and construction markets, as well as other foil and sheet products.
