JW ALUMINUM ANNOUNCES PHASE II EXPANSION AT ITS RUSSELLVILLE, AR FACILITY

JW Aluminum Company and its parent Superior Plus, Inc have announced plans for the Phase II expansion of the JW Aluminum-Russellville, AR facility.  The project, expected to cost $15 million, will include an additional intermediate gauge rolling mill, a light gauge slitter and the installation of a fourth caster.  This project, coming soon after the completion of the 2Q ’05 Phase I expansion, will raise the capacity of the Russellville plant by approximately 40 million pounds.  The additional volume will be used to support increased fin stock and converter foil market demand.

JW Aluminum manufactures specialty flat-rolled aluminum products including “fin stock” used by the heating and cooling industry, light gauge converter foil for the flexible packaging industry, and heavier gauge sheet for the building and construction markets, as well as other foil and sheet products.  JWA employs 800 at its three rolling mills and is headquartered in Mt.
