JW Aluminum wants to give its customers the world, at least the parts of it that produce aluminum. The company recently launched Global 1 Source Solutions, augmenting its domestic aluminum manufacturing capabilities with supply from international aluminum mills.
“Our goal is to be recognized as ‘The Leading Aluminum Rolled ProductsCompany in the World’,” said Lee McCarter, Chief Executive Officer of JW Aluminum. “The launch of Global 1 Source Solutions is a logical and natural part of that strategy.”
“With the addition of Global 1 Source Solutions to our portfolio of services, we are truly a global supplier, not simply a domestic supplier. Our consolidated approach means our customers can rely on JW Aluminum for all their aluminum requirements,” said Chester Roush, Chief Commercial Officer of JW Aluminum.
“These established global partnerships have allowed us to expand our already-extensive product line, and meet all of our customer’s aluminum flat-rolled needs like never before. This diversification will expand our footprint in the Transportation, Consumer Durables, Packaging, and Building and Construction markets,” Mr. Roush continued.
Through its global sourcing operation, JW Aluminum will collaborate with customers to identify their product requirements, and then fulfill those requirements through a combination of JW Aluminum’s four domestic mills and a network of offshore suppliers.
JW Aluminum will leverage their current quality systems to source the aluminum with their established global partners to make sure the aluminum meets customer specifications and deliver it when needed. JW Aluminum will continue to deliver on its core values of quality and on time delivery whether the aluminum is produced by JW Aluminum domestic mills or offshore manufacturers.
The company will also provide support after the sale. As CCO Roush put it, “We want our customers to feel secure that they can rely on JW Aluminum to deliver what they need, when they need it. We offer the peace of mind that our four mills and our off-shore partners will come through for them.”
John Mucci is the new Business Director, Global 1 Source Solutions for JW Aluminum, and leader of the Global 1 Source Solutions initiative; a service born of our relationships with worldwide aluminum manufacturers. Mucci has over 25 years of experience in the aluminum manufacturing industry. He will be responsible for sourcing and marketing flat rolled aluminum, including sheet, plate, pre-painted, and foil products, from quality manufacturers around the world to complement production from JW Aluminum’s four domestic mills.
JW Aluminum manufactures specialty flat-rolled aluminum products including “fin stock” used by the heating and cooling industry, light gauge converter foil for the flexible packaging industry, honeycomb foil for the aerospace industry, bare and painted sheet products for window coverings and the building and construction markets, and other foil and sheet products. JW Aluminum operates plants in Mt. Holly, South Carolina; St. Louis, Missouri; Russellville, Arkansas and Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
