JW Aluminum Announces Price Increase
(Mt. Holly, SC) June 21, 2011 — JW Aluminum announced today the following price increase:
Effective with all new orders scheduled for production and shipment on or after August 1, 2011 the conversion fee for alloys series 1XXX, 3XXX, 5XXX, 7XXX, and 8XXX will be increased as follows:
Gauges greater than .010 will be increased by $.01 cents per pound.
Gauges .010 to .0078 will be increased by $.03 cents per pound.
Gauges less than .0078 will be increased by $.05 cents per pound.
The previously announced fuel surcharge will remain in effect.
All existing contracts and firm agreements will be honored.
JW Aluminum manufactures specialty flat-rolled aluminum products including “fin stock” used by the heating and cooling industry, light gauge converter foil for the flexible packaging industry, honeycomb foil for the aerospace industry, bare and painted sheet products for window coverings and the building and construction markets, and other foil and sheet products.
