TRIDENT UNITED WAY HONORS
JW ALUMINUM'S SHELBY PATTERSON

Charleston, SC, February 10, 2005—JW Aluminum Corporation announced today that Shelby Patterson, the company's Manager - Employee Services, was recognized for her contributions and fundraising efforts over the past 20 years by the Trident United Way when she received their Ben Stage Above & Beyond Award at the organization's Annual United Way Awards Banquet.

In commenting on Ms. Patterson's contributions, David Nicole, vice president of campaign for Trident United Way, said, "Shelby's dedication to the United Way and her efforts over the last 20 years in helping to raise more than $500,000 in contributions from JW Aluminum employees has been outstanding. We truly appreciate Shelby's hard work and support of the United Way."

Mr. Nicole also noted that over the past three-years, contributions from JWA's employees have increased by an average of 82 percent.

Shelby Patterson has worked for JW Aluminum since it was founded in 1979, and has served as Manager – Employee Services throughout her career.
