JW Aluminum was founded in 1979 as Jim Walter Metals, a division of Jim Walter Corporation. The company initially produced cast aluminum coils for use in construction and home building applications. From that beginning, we have expanded the plant in Mount Holly, SC and grown it into a producer of high-quality light gauge sheet, foil and coated aluminum products shipped to markets worldwide. In April 2004, we added to our light-gauge foil capacity by acquiring foil rolling plants in St. Louis, MO and Russellville, AR. This additional capacity provides opportunities for further penetration into flexible packaging, pharmaceutical and a variety of products for converted foil markets. In addition, the completion of the planned phase II expansion at our Russellville, AR facility will provide us with much needed additional capacity to supply the HVAC market as well as our other light gauge sheet and foil markets.
